We were out on the road again this year and experienced many amazing storms. For me personally, this year was one I will never forget. Our annual chase vacation in May was packed with amazing storms, lightning displays and tornadoes, and a hail event that neither I, or my truck will forget anytime soon. Dave and I took another quick trip out to the plains in June and intercepted storms near Amarillo, Tx. From mid June, until late August we had a break. Then, on the evening of August 27th, Dave and I flew down to Orlando, Fl. where we rented a car and then drove to Mississippi to meet up with George Kourounis and Mark Robinson to intercept Hurricane Katrina. We knew Katrina was going to be bad, but had no idea just how much devastation she was going to cause. Below is a rundown on what is highlighted on this years highlights DVD.
May 7th, 2005- Fullerton, Ne. Supercells & amazing lightning display
May 10th, 2005- Grand Island, Ne. Supercells and funnel clouds
May 12th, 2005- South Plains, Tx. Tornadoes & softball hail barrage
June 11th, 2005- Tornadic Supercells near Amarillo, Tx.
August 29th, 2005- Hurricane Katrina - Gulfport, Ms
May 12th, 2005 South Plains, Tx. Tornado And Monster Hail
Hurricane Katrina Video Clip-Gulfport, MS. August 29th, 2005
